Our platform connects individuals and families seeking support with caregivers and support workers who may provide services in the community or in the home.

Because our platform may involve sensitive personal information, we collect, use, disclose, and protect information only for legitimate purposes related to providing and operating our services.

Information we collect

Account information

  • First and last name
  • Email address
  • Telephone number
  • Account and login information

Individuals seeking support

  • Care needs
  • Requested services
  • Selected care tasks
  • Scheduling and availability
  • Service location information
  • Funding information provided by the user
  • Relevant information needed to safely arrange and coordinate support
  • Additional information voluntarily provided

Caregiver information

  • Name and contact information
  • Profile photograph
  • Professional qualifications and experience
  • Resume
  • Professional references
  • Certificates, First Aid/CPR, NVCI and other training
  • Professional registration information, including CNO registration for RPN/RN applicants
  • Liability insurance information
  • Work eligibility documentation where required
  • Government-issued identification for administrative verification

Some of this information is highly sensitive. Government-issued identification, work authorization documents, insurance documents, reference contact information and internal verification records are subject to additional access restrictions and are available only to authorized administrative staff.

Information shared with caregivers

Only information reasonably necessary to provide or coordinate support is shared with a caregiver.

Information shared with families

Families may receive appropriate caregiver profile information such as:

  • Profile photo
  • First name
  • Professional role
  • Verified qualifications
  • Relevant experience
  • Biography
  • Selected certifications and relevant skills
  • Languages
  • Other appropriate compatibility information

The following are never displayed on family-facing caregiver profiles:

  • Government-issued identification
  • Work authorization documents
  • Insurance documents
  • Social Insurance Number
  • Reference contact information
  • Internal verification records
  • Internal staff notes

Location information

Where enabled, Connected Support may use a caregiver’s device location to verify arrival at and departure from an authorized service location.

Location verification is intended to confirm service attendance and is not intended to provide continuous tracking of caregivers throughout their day.

Your privacy rights

Subject to applicable law, you may have the right to:

  • Request access to your personal information
  • Request correction of your personal information
  • Ask questions about our collection, use or disclosure of information
  • Withdraw consent where applicable
