What a worker can do depends on their role, qualifications, insurance and scope of practice. Our matching system uses credentials and service requirements to prevent inappropriate matches.
We may provide
- Companionship and social supportConversation, routine, activities and reducing isolation.
- Respite for familiesPlanned or occasional coverage so families can rest.
- Community participationSupport attending programs, appointments, recreation and outings.
- Developmental supportRoutines, communication support, skill building and activities.
- Personal support where permittedAssistance with activities of daily living, by workers qualified and authorized for that support.
- Transportation and escort where approvedWhen the worker holds a valid licence and appropriate vehicle insurance.
- Meal preparation and light household supportSupport with meals and the routines around them.
We will not imply we provide
- Nursing tasks by non-nursesInjections, wound care, IV therapy and other regulated tasks are only provided by an appropriately qualified, insured nurse acting within their scope.
- Clinical assessment or diagnosisWe do not diagnose, assess clinically, or decide medical readiness.
- Medication administration outside scopeMedication assistance depends on the worker's role, training and authorization.
- Emergency responseThe platform is not an emergency service. In an emergency call 911.
